Description
The main design and colours on my boots follow a Torres strait islander scheme, since from research I learnt that Gagai comes from a Torres strait background and I wanted something of him to belong to the boots. On the inner side of the boots there is a boomerang representing my aboriginal culture. My mob names being ‘Dunghutti’ and ‘Bundjalung’ are also written on the back of the boots to tie a bit of me in. The footsteps on the back of the boots represent a journey, the reason for the space above the steps is the choice of where to go next, it’s your place to make your mark there.
